HelloSkin Silky Smooth Legs for Summer
Summer is finally here and I’ve even got a bit of a glow (read: sunburn). With the warmer weather now here, it’s time to make sure my skin is summer ready. Silky smooth legs are my current goal and I’ve been testing out three fab products from HelloSkin to make sure my legs are summer ready. Psst…keep reading for a lovely discount code too!

Things are extremely hectic in life right now – between moving house, training for a MMA fight (yes, you did read that right…), doing extra digital marketing training for work, blogging AND being a dog-mum, my calender is looking kind of full. I love being busy and constantly striving to reach new goals or working on projects so for me, this current hectic lifestyle is pretty much bliss. But it’s also important that I schedule in some me-time. So in the midst of all the chaos, I’ve been making sure I set some time aside in the evenings to pamper myself and show my skin the love it deserves.

Helloskin La Roche-Posay Body Milk Review

Let’s start our silky smooth legs adventure with a French charm. La Roche-Posay is quite the popular skin care brand amongst bloggers and I can see why. The Iso-Urea body milk lived up to my Eiffel Tower high expectations. It’s a smoothing, moisturising body milk which wordered wonders on my dry knees, ankles and elbows – y’know all those nobbly body parts that winter seriously takes a toll on.

The Iso-Urea body milk is said to contain thermal spring winter, which if you ask me sounds blooming marvellous. Thermal spring water sounds like the most luxurious kind of ingredient.

This body milk is a delicate moisturiser meaning it’s perfect for even the most sensitive of skins. If you have psoriasis or other similar skin conditiions, then this could be the one for you! It has a very minimal scent and it’s hypoallergenic (yay!). It’s also seriously softening without being greasy. If you ask me, it’s a très bonne product indeed.

HelloSkin Dead Sea Spa Magik Skin Softener Review

Now, this one I was most intrigued by and with a name like ‘The Dead Sea Spa Magik Skin Softener‘ it’s hard not to be. Soft skin is my summer goal so I had incredibly high hopes for this product. I was originally drawn in by it’s name but was my heart (and desire to purchase) was captivated by it’s beautifully-worded description. The Dead Sea Spa Magik skin softener is described as combining the healing and protective power of Dead Sea salt and mud with organic and natural oils. If that doesn’t sound like a luxe spa in a bottle, I don’t know what does.

This skin softener contains a blend of oils derived from avocado, jojoba and sesame and has a liquid paraffin/petrolatum base. Because of these highly nourishing ingredients, this lotion is pretty greasy. I wouldn’t recommend applying this product just before putting on clothes!

The beauty of the oily gilm created by this lotion is that it means the product can be used on broken, split skin and the minerals will help to prevent infection whilst sealing the skin. It really is magik! I recently stepped up my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and started MMA training so my legs and feet are covered in an abundance of cuts, burns and dry patches. It’s not quite the summer look you want to be going for so this product has unexpectedly become quite the holy grail for pampering and protecting my skin after sparring. Who said a girl can’t fight and still have silky smooth legs?

HelloSkin A-Derma Exomega Emollient Cream Review

Last but by all means not least, we have the A-Derma Exomega Emollient Cream. In some ways, this is very similar to the La Roche-Posay body milk. But more often than not I found my hands reaching for this bottle of cream in the mornings. This has been a total god-send post shower as I can apply straight after shaving and it doesn’t irritate my skin at all. There’s nothing worse than not being able to moisturise after shaving through fear of being covered in tiny red burning spots. Thanks to this lotion though, that’s a problem of the past. Hooray for now having post-shower silky smooth legs!

The calming effects of this lotion may be due to it containing oat seedling extract which sets out to reduce inflammation.

Despite this being a deeply moisturising product, I noticed that I can apply it to my face without having a major breakout. I have annoying combination skin which at the moment is really making applying foundation a laborious task. Thankfully, applying a very light amount of this lotion to troublesome dry patches on my face can really aid in evening out my skin and keeps my foundation from going super patchy.

The A-Derma Exomega Emollient Cream is hands down my favourite of the three products. With that said, all three have still managed to become daily staples in my morning and evening skincare routine thanks to them all having their own wonderful little quirks and benefits!

Thanks to HelloSkin and these three wonderfully supple, nourishing lotions, I can have soft skin all summer! I would love to know what lotions and potions you’re currently loving to get your skin summer ready right now.
