My love for dessert knows no bounds. If there’s ever an opportunity to go out for dessert and stuff my face will all of the sweet food, I’m there. So, when Cube Desserts opened up a spot in Preston’s new Street Food market, I knew I just had to go. If you’re a dessert lover, then you’re going to want to read on to find out more about this new dessert place in Preston city centre.
Disclaimer: I was invited to visit Cube Desserts in Preston on a complimentary press visit. However, as always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Preston is a city overflowing with amazing places to eat and drink. Living a short drive away from the city, I know it’s somewhere I can always count on for a tasty brunch, delicious coffee or hearty lunch. And now, with the opening of Cube Desserts Preston, I’ve found a new favourite place to visit for dessert. Despite scouring the menu before visiting (let’s be honest… we all do it) I still spent a good 15-minutes looking over the menu once we arrived at Cube. If my appetite allowed it, I would have happily ordered one of everything off the menu…
Enjoying Pancakes and Thickshakes at Cube Desserts
Knowing that ordering one of everything was a) out of my budget and b) probably would have resulted in feeling extremely sick and full of regret, I opted for the kinder bueno pancakes and a lotus biscoff shake. Sticking with the accidental theme of pancake stacks and thickshakes, Callum chose the GoGo shake (filled with ferrero rocher, rafello, chocolate syrup and topped with whipped cream, nuts and coconut flakes) and the PBO pancakes which were overflowing with gluttonous amounts of peanut butter, nutella, reese’s peanut butter cups and oreos.
Priced at £6.50, you cannot go wrong with the pancake stacks from Cube. You get a hearty portion with an extra-generous helping of toppings and a side of soft-serve ice cream. The pancakes were so filling that I actually boxed the other half of mine up to take home and enjoy later that evening.
Although, we both opted for pancakes when we visited the Cube, there were tons of other tasty treats on the menu from traditional hot puddings to cookie dough, sundaes, cake slices, brownies and soft-serve ice cream.
The Biscoff cookie dough and Ferrero Rocher waffles took my fancy… you bet, I’ll be planning return trips so I can work my way through the menu! There is sooo many options to choose from that I literally felt like a kid in a sweet shop. The best part is you can also choose your own pancake, sundae or waffle toppings to design your dream dessert.
The thickshakes were insanely good too. Although it would be good to see the thickshakes being served in a glass rather than plastic, I was grateful that it came in takeout cup because it turns out, there was no way I could eat a stack of pancakes and drink a shake at the same time. The milkshakes are super creamy and full of flavour – so much so, I actually felt like I was drinking biscoff spread. My sweet-food loving heart was seriously content with our trip to Cube Desserts.
