Liebster Blog Award Blogging Nomination

The darling Chloe at ISeeChloe has nominated me for the Liebster Blog Award. Isn’t that just the loveliest? I think this is a really sweet (and fun) way to mix things up on your blog and let your readers delve a little bit deeper into your life!

So, if you don’t know the Liebster Blog Award is where another blogger nominates you to answer 10 questions (of their choice) and then to pick 10 bloggers you would like to nominate to for the Award, who you give 10 new questions to answer. Liebster has German origins meaning dearest, sweetest, kindest, lovely…etc. Let’s just say it’s a wonderful way to spur on and praise the fellow bloggers in your community.

Now, let’s get down to business and start answering those questions…

1) Do you still see yourself still blogging in a years time?
I hope so. Blogging is something that I really enjoy doing. It’s like having my own personal spot on the internet to share the thoughts whizzing round my mind. So, my fingers are most definitely crossed that I carry on blogging!

2) What made you choose your blog theme? eg. Beauty, Lifestyle
Oooh, I suppose my theme is mainly fashion. For as long as I can remember I have bought fashion-related magazines. I think fashion is an amazing way to express your personality and it’s part of my everyday life so it just felt natural to make this a central theme to my blog. Of course, I also try to blog about other things such as beauty, fitness and baking (except a peanut butter cup recipe coming soon!). I’m hoping to make this blog more personal as I go along but Fashion is a great start because it’s unique to every individual.

3) Do you have an embarrassing story about your younger self? If so, what is it?
This one is actually really tricky. I can’t remember any…I must have blocked them out of my conscious memory! My embarrassing stories are probably no more extreme than the usual walking into the boys toilets or running up and hugging a stranger thinking you know them. Though most recently (as in a couple of weeks ago!) at my Grandma’s 70th birthday I unknowingly turned up with my booty totally on show because my underskirt had ridden up. I genuinely just had a tiny see-through bit of lace in attempt to preserve my dignity. And to make matters just that little bit worse, I even had a huge family photo with my bum out…. eeeek cringe!

4) Are you more of a morning person, or a night owl?
Naturally, I’m probably more of a night owl. When I was at university, I’d sometimes stay up all night (either partying or just watching cute animal vids on youtube…seriously). But now, I’m trying to train myself to be a morning person. I love the feeling of having a relaxed early morning or going to the gym before my day begins.

5) If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
One thing? Just one thing…now this is super tricky! I’m going to go with a rather realistic and average (and not so outlandish like be the Queen of the World)…if I could change one thing it would probably be to have a more equal quality of life across gender/class/race/belief/country/etc. Just for every to be given similar chances in life…(sorry this isn’t as exciting as I’m sure it could have been aha!)

6) What’s your favourite thing to see on a blog?
I definitely love when bloggers give you a snippet into their personal life in their blog. Whether they do this in an obvious personal lifestyle blog or if they do it through a beauty, fashion, event, or whatever-else post. I just think it’s refreshing to be reminded that we’re all human with our own little lives.

7) Do you prefer jeanes or skirts?
I’d probably say skinny jeans. Or a skirt with tights underneath…just so there’s no mishap of flashing my dignity again.

8) Have you ever dyed your hair? If so, what colour?
During my 2nd year at university, I dipdyed my hair purple. I absolutely loved it but it always used to wash out so quickly. I’m always tempted to re-dye it. I’d love to have pastel lilac hair!

9) Where do you usually find your blog post inspiration?
Either by things that are happening in my life or by reading other people’s blogs. Seriously, if you are ever experiencing writer’s block then seeing what other people are chatting about can motivate you greatly. I love Bloglovin’ because it allows you to see what blogs you’re following are posting, as well as exploring the most popular blog posts.

10) Twitter or Facebook?
Twitter, definitely. I’m all for those less than 140 characters. I don’t know why, but I just reaaallly dislike Facebook. Twitter is also an absolutely delightful way to connect with other bloggers. If you want to see my twitter I’m at @grandiosedays !

That’s my 10 questions done and dusted, so moving onto my nominations and the questions I have for them!

For the Libester Blog Award, I nominate:

(Remember, the blogs you nominate for the award should have less than 200 twitter followers)

And the 10 questions I have for you, are:

1. What made you decide to start blogging?
2. What is your favourite thing about blogging?
3. It’s December tomorrow, do you plan to do Blogmas?
4. Another Christmassy question…What is on your Christmas wish list this year?
5. If you could do anything for one day, with no repercussions, what would you do?
6. What is your favourite way to unwind and de-stress?
7. What is your outfit of choice for today?
8. What is your favourite quote?
9. Who is your biggest inspiration in life?
10. If you were stranded on a desert island, what 3 things would you take?

I look forward to seeing your answers, though don’t feel pressured to pass the award on if it’s not your kind of thing! If you do decide to go ahead and pass the Liebster Blog Award on, then I’d love it if you tagged me in your post so I can have a nosey!
Grandiose Days,

  • 2nd December 2014

Yours is so much more interesting than mine! I've also had an awkward flash the bum moment. My Ex's parents took us to the Wolseley for dinner (fancy) and on our way out the wind blew up my dress! So awkward… so embarrassing.
